What best friends are for
When we can’t love ourselves and feel lost, we tend to think that other people can replenish us but the truth is, it will only leave you feeling emptier than ever. Happiness comes naturally to those who are patient enough to wait for it.
Everybody goes through hard times in life, that’s just how life is. We all experience bad things, we all lose our jobs, get our hearts broken, we all stress about things and we all mess up and these are the times when we learn to love and respect ourselves. And the thing is, we all need support. No one can do it alone.
Tough times challenge us and try us and it’s the greatest feeling to have someone by your side who believes in you and cheers you on - that’s what best friends are for.
When you lose your job, best friends remind you of who you are and what your real passion is.
When the man of your dreams walks out on you, your best friend keeps telling you that it’s his loss until you finally believe it.
When people reject you, your best friend is there to show you where you belong and that together you are stronger than any other group of friends.
When you obsess over how you look, she’ll be there to tell you that you can keep running and dieting but that’s not what makes you look pretty.
When you mess up and regret things, your best friend will remind you of the fact that you’re only human and that we all make mistakes.
When you fall, she’ll be there to pick you up and she’ll help you to stand your ground.
When you no longer feel like yourself, they’ll remind you of who you really are without judging you for what you’ve become.
When you had a little too much to drink the night before and you managed to make a fool of yourself, she’ll tell you that it doesn’t matter how embarrassing you were because you looked absolutely stunning that night.
And when you realize you haven’t been treating yourself the way you would have deserved, your best friend will get you some ice-cream and will remind you of the fact that you are still the sexiest girl alive and nothing could ever change that.
So when you’re feeling down and alone, remember that you have someone to rely on and never ever take your best friend for granted.
