7 signs that you’re the nightmare of selfish people
Self-centered people are used to others serving them. Don’t be surprised to see them flee from you as soon as they find out you are not willing to join the club.
#1 You use pain to make you stronger
No matter how painful or disappointing your experiences are, you refuse to wallow and all those experiences to learn and make the most out of any situation. You use what you’ve learned from a toxic relationship and that becomes your success. Everything you learn from a selfish person helps you become a better version of yourself.
#2 You get your own way
A narcissistic person loves when other people’s self-worth depends on them so they do compliment others from time to time but a person who knows their worth is something they can’t deal with. So if you know who you are and there’s a certain kind of confidence about you, you’d better move on and let someone else take your place – you don’t need somebody else to define you.
#3 You’re not waiting around for answers, you move on
Instead of believing the usual I-ve-changed-it-will-all-be-different-now lies, you know when to end things. You move on even if you’re left with questions for you know that you deserve better than that.
#4 You have a support system
Having a great group of friends you can rely on is so important when you’re going through hard stuff . There’s nothing wrong with needing a bit of encouragement but never forget to look out for yourself.
#5 You’re independent
If you’re an independent person financially and emotionally, and you have a social life; narcissistic people are highly unlikely to try to stick around. They love feeling like they fill a void in your life but if there’s no void to be filled, they take off – that’s just how they operate. So believing in yourself and trusting you can make it on your own will definitely make them flee in a sec.
#6 You know you can achieve anything you set your mind to
If nothing is impossible when it comes to your dream job or your love life, you’re not a target. Having been through a lot and knowing you can conquer anything in life makes you too much to manage.
#7 You respect yourself
Self-respect and self-worth will make you fight for your dreams. You’re not willing to settle, you know a toxic relationship when you see one and that, my friend, makes you strong. Realizing and embracing what’s good for you will help you move on.
